Master Keraji announced herself rather rudely at the Headquarters, interrupting Master Tomius and his Padawan’s training. After a briskly re-acquainting themselves, Tomius called for a gathering of the Council.
Masters Ycoga, Elkesian, and Najeeke responded to the summons, and after a bit of light-hearted banter aimed at Tomius, Keraji got down to business.
The Jedi Council had sent her as their emissary, to strengthen the renewed bonds between the Jedi Order and The Phoenix Unit – considering recent events on Zakuul, the Republic needed to present a unified front. TPU’s past dealings with the Order had been strained to say the least, as the Order had previously denounced their practises and believed the Unit’s members strayed too far from the Jedi Path. However, they were now showing a willingness to move forward.
Their request was that Keraji would sit on The Phoenix Unit’s own Council to act as the Order’s representative. In return the Unit would receive support in the form of access to the Temple’s archives, whilst having someone who would directly have the ear of The Jedi Council should any specific resources be required; The unit would also benefit from Keraji’s own knowledge and skill as a Master in her own right.
After deliberating and questioning Keraji on both her own motives and the Orders, the Councillors who were present accepted Master Keraji into their ranks and granted her a place on their own Council – whether this new union between factions would hold remained to be seen.
